Who Am I?

August 17, 20252 min read

I figured with a rebrand, I should start it off with the basics...

Who am I?

Who I am changes. Every. Single. Day.

Some days, I’m a quiet observer, a married mom of two teenagers, making sure everyone’s on their own path- though I often retreat into my thoughts, recharging quietly while juggling schedules and priorities.

Other days, I’m navigating my career with intention, taking strategic steps up the corporate ladder while finding the solitude in spreadsheets strangely calming. Behind that 'boss babe' exterior, there's an introvert thriving on deep focus.

I also have moments where I channel my inner chic- dressing up in sequins for no particular reason. While I might show up at a parent meeting looking glam, deep down I’m yearning for quiet moments with a glass of champagne, dreaming of tranquil spots like the South of France, a place where solitude and reflection are welcome companions.

Being introverted means I get to choose how I show up in the world, and it changes depending on where my energy flows. Some days I’m introspective and retreat into quiet spaces, others I step forward, but on my terms.

I might be “Boho Betty,” a lover of calm afternoons browsing through vintage stores or sipping an iced matcha latte in quiet contemplation. My cause of the day? Saving the world- one peaceful moment at a time. And yes, saving the iced vanilla lattes count!

Then there’s “Outdoorsy Olga”- the version of me that might find peace in nature. Walking through a park to meditate with nothing but the sound of the wind and maybe a few distant bird calls. Even the mosquitos and ants can’t ruin the peace I find in solitude.

“Self-Care Susan” is an essential part of me, the one who understands when I’ve hit my social limit and need time to recharge. A bath, Netflix, or simply a quiet space- these are the things that restore my energy.

And sometimes, I’m “Disconnected Debbie,” completely drained from overstimulation, retreating into my shell until the world feels quieter again. I embrace her when I need her because even introverts need to pull the plug sometimes and recharge in the depths of quiet.

The truth is, introversion isn’t a limitation. It’s an adaptable strength. It allows me to be all of these personas, while staying true to the parts of myself that crave peace, introspection, and genuine connection. Who I am can shift daily, but the one constant is that I respect my need for alone time, and that’s where I find my greatest power.

This site is called "Je Suis Jeanette" because at my core, I am me. That’s the only label I need. Here you’ll find my thoughts and experiences from the many hats I wear, but always with a heart that seeks moments of quiet in a world that often demands more.

So, who are you today? And how are you honoring the quieter side of yourself?
